Worth upgrading brake pads?

It's about time that I change the pads on my brakes. Do you guys think it's worth upgrading to something better? If so, what brand? Or am I just better of sticking with OEM pads?

I know there are better out there, but if I google it, every brand is gonna claim to be better then the next. I'm just asking people for personal experience and/or opinions.

One brand I did was looking at was Hawk. Any good???
