Escort Wont Start

My girl has a 99 escort zx2. it has the 2.0 zetec. heres the problem it wont start. its getting spark and and has plenty of fuel pressure at the fuel rail. it isnot throwing any codes. it just died driving down the interstate. any help would be great.

There is a sensor on the flywheel of those ztec's somewhere....I remember a buddy of mine having this problem a couple years ago. Shit. Can't remember exactly how he fixed that. Something to do with a sensor on the flywheel that communicates with the PCM, and the sensor wasn't actually bad on his car, but the connector was corroded.

Is it catching at all and stumbling, or just flat out nothing at all?

the just put in the new crankshaft positon sensor and it still does not work. any other ideas

When you say it's not throwing any codes do you mean the check engine light didn't come on or you actually used a code reader?

neways can you give us more info on this situation. any odd noises or anything? is your theft light flashing?

i used a code reader. when it was running it used to vibrate when it was in drive but if you put it in neutral it would stop
