Jag XK8 Whats the deal a good DD or just expensive repairs?

Can I have some feedback on Jaguar Xk8's as a daily driver especially the 97-00 models. I have a shot at one for a decent price but i dont want something that will break down and be extreme price to fix like a cadillac sts. Also how many milese are these usually good for? Thanks!

you probably got a new car already but this is so old and just for anyone else looking my dad has an xk8 convertible, great summer car we have a good mechanic that works on our other two jags one his and ones mine. Can be expensive compared to a stang. especially an older model 1993 xj6 cost about 400$ for mainly parts on the A/C with the stang parts probably way less and you can probably take them off other fords mercury etc. plus a bigger aftermarket and salvage.
i didnt look at where you live but if in florida or cali arizona etc a daily driver here in ohio a DD from june to august then he drives a 95 xj12
