Need some help with gauges y'all

My "other" car is a 78 Monte Carlo. It came with an 85mph speedo and "idiot" lights. I just bought a remaned gauge cluster with a 120mph speedo, working gauges(oil pressure, water temp, voltage gauge, and Tach). I know i need to get sending units for all the Gauges except the speedo,Tach(HEI),and fuel gauge. Problem is my fuel gauge doesn't work. It worked with the old gauges( i even tested the new gauges with 6 volts{ 4 "D" batts} before i put it in and it worked properly). I know some of the older gauges used impedance to make the gauges read properly. These are magnetic gauges though so i can't figure out why my new one wont work? Also I am looking for a wiring diagram for my car so i can find out which wire in the wiring harness connects to the HEI for my Tach.
Any help or directions on where to find this info would be very helpfull

My "new" gauges are from an early 80"s Monte Carlo so they are vehicle specific not aftermarket. They hook into the stock plug where the whole piece of dash that holds the gauges screws in.

Neva mind y'all! I ran a wire from the HEI to the tach and replaced a blown fuse ( yeah it took me a LONG time to figure out the fuse was blown! LOL ) and now i have:Tach,Volt,Fuel, and Speedo. I have to get a sending unit for the temp gauge because the wire on mine got in the way when putting on my intake and i kinda snatched it! As for the oil pressure, it's too dark to even bother to look for it and then figure out if it's good and then try hooking it up.
