Who Makes The Best Trucks?
In my family we have had 2 trucks in the last like 7 years. a 2000 ford f-150 not sure though. its runnin great 185k miles. and a chevy 2004 somethin. Piece of shit though, its probably had 5k in repiars this year alone. it has 90k miles on it and is worse than teh ford. Just my luck that ford trucks own chevys or is this pretty common?

I'll probably get castrated for this but GM makes the best trucks on the road in my opinion. I have a 2000 Suburban that I can't kill. The truck still looks and drives like it did when it came off the show room floor. My family owns a used car dealership in which I work for every now and then and managed the service department for a couple years a while back. If you go out test driving some day go drive some Ford trucks and then go drive some GM trucks. Night and day difference. But if you are the type of narrow minded person that thinks Ford is the one and only then don't bother comparing the two. They both have their good points and bad points. For me the good out weighed the bad with the Suburban. Its basically a pick up with a cap that can haul 8 people comfortably and pull a car trailer and you don't even know its back there.

just incase you guys were wondering if you watched the video, they have others that finish it, it survives the fire, and a building collapsing with the car on top and still ran.

i've only had chevy & GMC trucks.. for some reason i've never liked the ford pick-up ride.... the GM's just seem to ride better & are more comfortable to me.. & i like the style of GM's a lot better... my mom has a 97 suburban & it's our hauler.. it has about 145,000 miles on it & we haven't had to do anything major to it yet. we change the fluids, run only mobil 1 in it, & only 93 octane.. it gets 21 mpg to this day & only has some minor upgrades (ie. flowmaster cat-back, chip, K&N.). great truck & like darrell said about his, we hook up the car hauler, load it with my 67 chevy truck or my mom's 1950 chevy four door & you cant even feel it behind you.. even through the mountains in NC pulls at 80 MPH no problem at all... all & all a awesome truck....
i do like the ford diesel's though.. they got some pullin power!

I have no complaints about my Mazda B2600. 160,000+ miles and no problems.

We drive the Toyota Hilux over here in the desert...And they will bark the tires nicely coming out of 1st into second...You cant kill that truck...
There is good and bad in all of them... My brother flipped a S10 off a bridge and after we put 4 doughnuts on it the truck still would drive around... Althought it did scrape the frame on the ground...Becuase the whole suspension was totally fubared... |

as far as towing things the Ford F 350 diesle will out haul any other truck and have the second biggest cab (used to be the biggest until dodge megacab) and the deisle will run for 250 thousand plus with no problems (that is a engine you can't kill) and the rest of the truck will last just as long.
my dad has had 3 of these trucks 92,97, 02 and now has a 05 dodge, this truck isn't nearly the truck the ford is, and chevy was never even an option because they have such soft rear suspension you can't put hardly anything in the bed and don't haul nearly as much for the same frame size. The dodge isn't nearly as realyable (rear end already having to be rebuilt and only 22 thousand miles) my mom and uncles all drove a suburbans for years and they tend to fall apart once you reach 120 thousand miles. Ford Rocks!!!

well, guess I'm the lone duck here. I'm sure a lot of the tidewater peeps have saw a green Dodge 2500 around the area or at the race tracks with a "FORDTEK" license plate. HMMMH................

The inline 6 was bullet proof
I like Nissan for reliablity, I had a s-10 4.3 vortec It was ok, but started having issues at 100K.
The Old Ford trucks with the 300 cubic inch inline 6 was unstopable
