06 Stang V6 Vs 06 Civic Si 2.0L V-tec

Okay lets end the spec here and ask around for some opinions on this situation?

I own a 2006 mustang V6 Added K&N Air Charger Intake And FlowMaster Exhaust nothing more has been added, YET! lol

My brother owns a 2006 Honda Civic Si V-Tec no modifications Yet!

Heres the specs on his honda civic:

197 horsepower at 7800 rpm and 139 lb.-ft. of torque at 6100 rpm.

and heres the specs on the stang:

210 Horsepower @ 5250 and 250 Torque @ 3500

so what do you all think this outcome could be, hes gonna get a cold air intake added and possibly either a flowmaster or megaflow exhaust added before we go to the track at irwindale, ca

(Cough Cheater LoL)

ooh well u had the advantage right off 94 Gt vs 06 Si 4L 2.0 but the V-tec kinda makes it a low end V6 which has advantages over other 4Ltr's out there, do you have hydrolic cluth on your gt or is it spring loaded like average clutch's are?

4...I think.

What's the weight of the two vehicles? The power numbers are nice, but don't mean much without any weight figures. The new Mustangs are heavy.

should be rather even with stang having the ability to edge ahead, it will come down to drivers, with that open dif rear id bet the stang driver would have to be better though

06 si curb- 2877 lbs i think

and it is a 2L 4 cyl.

Yes the si is a 4 cylinder 2L V-Tec, in my personal experiance i think your right Sa-Wait... it is up to the drivers, the stangs handicap is the hydrolic clutch=limited speed shifting it will hang up will not let you speed shift now as for the si, hes on the spring loaded clutch and has no limits on speedshifting so thats were i see my stangs handicap and 3rd on the stang is a lagger virtually no power in 3rd until about 3800-4000rpm's unlike the civic he has pull in all gears is there anyway this can be adjusted on the stang so i can get a little more low end torque in 3rd, 1st and 2nd are fine no problems just the lag in 3rd and the hydrolic clutch "SUCKS" so let me know if this is a ez fix

Race from a dig and your torque will end the argument.

I think the Si has the edge personally. 2877 lbs yeah, but it's got some nifty toys aside from the 197 hp.

Limited slip differential = two tires putting down power instead of one and a slick as shit 6 speed.

But it'll depend on if he can put the engine through it's paces properly.

if it is any concern my roommate just went 14.70's in his 5 speed 05 v6 mustang.

I dont think that si will come close to a 14 sec quarter mile.

Now whether or not my roommates car is a factory freak or not I dont know about that

You sure about that now? My car is rated for a 15.4 second quarter mile... An Si with a slicker 6 speed, 37 more hp and a 20 something more torque lower in the power band won't do high 14s?
