2006 Xterra V6 Knocking


So i noticed that my xterra seems to knock on the left side but i have no idea why. it's a DOHC. Oil's good. lol tells you how much i know about DOHC

Knocking like detonation? Or some sort of noise from the chassis/suspension? Maybe you got some bad gas, I've heard that the new ethanol blends aren't that tightly regulated as far as what percentage of ethanol and gas you're getting, so every tank could be a different octane.

yeah it sounds kinda like a soft but very clear *clack* in the left side of the engine. i've been running just arco in my shit for the most part. no base gas or none of that crap. but when i can chevron or mobil

Are those the 4.6? my buddy went through a couple motors on his s10, so if you get it fixed dont go cheap
