2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Big Horn Edition??

ok now a buddy of mine just bought this truck ehh i would say a few months ago now and just bought a CIA and he installed it over this past weekend, now im not sure exactly which one he bought he said something like S&B Intake, heres a image it looks exactly like this so i guess it is a S&B...

http://www.sbfilters.com/images/75-1530.jpg

now after he installed it and after me hearing it theres a LOUD! hissing noise same as air being sucked in but a WHOLE LOT! and he say's he feels like he lost some power also, now the noise does get much lower at a idle but as soon as the gas is hit the noise happens again?? now ive never heard this noise come out of any CIA ive ever installed so is there something he can do to fix this or wut exactly is the problem and if anyone has ran into this sorta issue any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like something didn't get sealed back up correctly, and he's sucking in air behind the mass-air sensor.

what would be ur opinion on how to fix this? according to what he told me is that he make absolutly SURE! that he did everything by the book and he also had to drill out the hold for the MAF and even used a extra hose clamp when it really didnt need it but did it anyways for extra precaution i can get a sound clip hopefully within the next day and post it up maybe that will shed a little more light on this but either way let me know what can be done meanwhile.

i honestly dont know.....but that is a great possibility since it is a 07 and its on Cable for the Accelerator and it is a Dodge! lol, but the funny thing is He called the company he bought it from and explained exactly what is going on and what they told him and i dont know if its tru or not is "You Need to Drive it For 5 Days for the Computer To Recognise The Intake", now to me that sounds like a bunch of Bull just to get him off the Line so do you think thats tru ???
