Truck block 5.0

Looking to get some more smog-legal go out of the Bronco, but it has the truck-block 5.0, not an HO, which makes it a pain to find performance parts for.

I know heads will interchange, but I'm not looking to spend that kind of money just yet.

Anyone know if someone makes a cam for this motor? I'm assuming I can just use an older 289/302 cam? Will that piss off the ECU and/or cause it to throw a CEL? (it's a 96... only year Bronco with OBDII).

I'm thinking I may just do a K&N FIPK, shorty headers, and a cat-back and see where that gets me.
