camaro engine switch...just a question...

I got this friend that has had an auto v6 camaro for the longest, and the engine finally decided it wanted to shit out, so within like a week my friend comes back and tells me that he has an ls1 put in it, and it wasn't very much modding at all...i want to know if you can do the engine swap that easy and that fast? I haven't seen it because he is in arkansas going to college, and I won't see him until next winter, so I wanted to know now, I can't wait all summer to find out haha...I know it can be done, but that easy?

sure a week is plenty of time to do a swap even a day is good the only problem is finding the engine and get it to turn over the first time

ha lol, you ever heard a diesel engine start for the very 1st time? you'd think it's running so poorly you almost want to turn it off 'cause it sounds like it'll blow up any second.

Yeah they can be done in one day, with an experienced person overseeing the project, as long as the replacement engine fits, runs, and can be started with out too many problems ie delays.

the problem with putting an ls1 into a v6 car is the car isnt going to support that stock, you are going to need to reinforce the chassis around the engine, and get reinforced engine mounts. Just my .02
