LS(Gen-III) motors have an oil cooler port right next to the oil filter that is
not used on most cars. You just tap into that port very easy.

k-member cross member under oil pan unbolts, so pan will come off very easy to
tap for oil return.

No its high enough to drain properly into pan with gravity.

Thats why I dont like low mount turbos, those scavenge pumps are
a headache.

how so? other than the potential to lose power to the pumps and burn the turbos up

If everything isnt done just right ........

ie right pump, check valve to keep from draining back, right size restrictor
on oil feed to reduce oil getting to the turbo

you can blow out the oil seals on the turbo very easy and have serious
smoking issues.

It can be done right, but def. adds to the complexity of the whole build
and more to go wrong.

well GreenFaleen brought up an interesting idea about using the side scoops on the sn95 cars as intakes. might try that out. my dads got some t03's he said he'd give me for my car if i wanted to build a kit. hes a agriculural (sp) mechanic so he has a good idea of what i need to do oiling wise.

Sounds like a disaster in the making to me.

Just stick them in the front corners using flipped BBK headers like I did

Got gauge pod mounted.
Wideband should be here tomorrow.

Go pick up hot-side from welder tomorrow.
Just need to test fit everything one more time and then off to the coaters.

There is no molding between headline and windshield.
Just a small gap that you cant see.

Few things done.

Everything is welded and up at the coaters, should get back mid next week.

Also found some used LS2 - 243 heads for $400 that should be here
for this weekend. Boost should love the 1/2 pt compression drop and
the bigger runners and intake valve.

Gotta love these LS motors when you can pick up "stock" 210cc race heads
with 2.00 valves and flow 260+cfm for under $500.

Got the A/F gauge mounted and all the wires run.

Right, it's called the Gen-III and Gen-IV blocks.
Gen-IV is same block but with bigger bore for engines like the LS2 and LS7
The truck blocks are iron, while the true LS blocks are aluminum.

Bigger intake valves, bigger intake runners, bigger exhaust runner
better springs and bigger combustion chamber to lower compression 0.5 for boost.

Its the stock head for the C5-Z06 Corvette and later for the CTS-V and GTO.
