Got my 243 heads picked up from machine shop today.
Into them for $570 total, including fresh valve seat job and new valve seals.

Under $600 for some fully refurbished $1,800 heads, not bad if I say so myself.
Flow numbers on the LS6/Z06 heads are impressive too. Flow better at .400 lift than the 5.3 truck heads flow at .550 lift

Just waiting for after christmas to do final install now.
Dont want to make 2k mile road trip to visit the family on freshly torn down and mod'd engine
so it'll have to wait couple more weeks.

Sorry no updates guys.

Ordered a needed "head swap" gasket kit from discount online source and
still waiting 2 weeks later for it to ship. Get these parts in and I'll
do the LS6 head swap and final turbo install.

Cant wait ................

It's easier than you think .......... I'm no welder or fabricator.

Pretty much anyone with half a brain, a $180 cut-off saw and $300 mini-welder
can knock out a simple DIY turbo kit.

Finally got my head gasket kit last week
Ordered Dec 29, '07 ....... Arrived Jan 22, '08 ....... ridiculous.

lol, you can actually piece it together fairly cheap too.
$100 here, $200 there spread out ...... only single big purchase is the turbo itself.

Only have about $2,500 in parts and 1/3 of that is just the turbo at $800
