SCT tuner problem HELP!! plz

Ok so i purchased a sct tuner X3 from AM (americanmuscle) I did a custom 93+ octane tune and as soon as i started driving it started pinging mildly so they advised me to put copper spark plugs and it got rid most of the ping but i still get a ping ive already tried a preloaded tune 91+ and messed with the timing by -1 and -2 degrees AM sounds like there giving up on me and i cant return the tuner?!! When i put it on my stock tune 0% ping nothing never had my car ping ever! and i put the tune and the pinging starts.
ANy advise???? o yea i know its not my gas for sure and i already seafoamed it so yea WTF sct

its a canned tune so it wont be perfect for every car. some things will still have to be worked out. if the ping stops once you reload the stock tune, then something is a little off on the custom tunes. do you have widebands?

wideband is similar to an o2 sensor, but has a wider range that it can sence. with a wideband you can datalog with the X-cal 3 and email it to the tuner who should be able to fix the issue for you.

for now i would recommend not using the custom tunes until you can get the issue worked out with AM

Hmm...need a little more information on your car. Year, motor, mods, etc. There are a few things that can cause pinging in a tuned car besides bad plugs. Also, what brand gas are you using?

Hmm...Exxon and Shell are both excellent fuels to use. I usually recommend Sunoco, Mobile/Exxon, and Shell with tuned vehicles...so you should be good on fuel.

Have you checked and replaced your PCV valve? I would replace that first because it is cheap and easy to do. Also run a bottle of Lucas Oil fuel treatment through your gas tank which will help clean out your system.

If there is still slight pinging after this, give us a call or email sct@americanmuscle.com and we can adjust the timing in the custom tune for you. When you contact us, make sure to note the specific RPM range and engine load/throttle position and we can just remove spark from that targeted range. That way performance is not hurt in the range that you are not experiencing the pinging.

hey man i already replaced my pcv valve i still get a ping when my car goes under hard acceleration right around 2k rpm ( the ping is not horrible but noticeable )but if I drive normal going light on the gas and not aggressively I hear no ping at all. I noticed i mainly get it when im accelerating up onto the freeway ramp on 4thgear and in highway speeds.

what should i do now?

I already tried -1 & -2 on the spark both custom and preloaded tune should i try to change the fuel like making richer or leaner?

Thank you

Send an email to Dan at sct@americanmuscle.com and tell him what you just said in this post about: "under hard acceleration right around 2k rpm ( the ping is not horrible but noticeable )but if I drive normal going light on the gas and not aggressively I hear no ping at all"

He should be able to adjust the tune accordingly and email it to you.
