So my roomate ordered a o/r h for his 01 cobra last Friday from americanmuscle. He paid the extra 20 bucks for a 3 day shipping guarantee because he wanted it by Monday or Tuesday. Well Wednesday rolls around and it's still not here! So he calls them and they say Friday Saturday and Sunday don't count, and that he basically ordered it Monday. This I can understand, but if it was ordered on Monday and it had a 3 day guarantee... Then why did it show up Thursday? This is 6 days after his original order. I say it's bullshit.
Do you guys agree or is this common. This may deter me from ordering through them later.

depends on when he ordered it. If you buy it when its like 5pm on a friday in their warehouse, it might not make the ups truck that night. UPS DOESNT ship over the weekend either as far as I know.

Friday would only count as a shipping day if it was ordered before they ship for the day.

Saturday only counts as a shipping day for USPS and FedEx.

It's why I never pay for expedited shipping.

Does it actually say guaranteed 3-day shipping, or is it just called "3-day shipping"? (honest question, I'm not trying to contradict anything you're saying).

AM is a good company, the few times i have had a problem, they were more than helpful in remedying the situation. I had a package that was damaged by ups, and they took care of it no questions asked.

No, if it was placed after five, it would not have shipped until Monday.

Monday to Tuesday is day 1.
Tuesday to Wednesday is day 2.
Wednesday to Thursday is day 3.

I apologize for any inconvenience or delay, but that is how it would have worked with any company that stops shipping on the east coast at 5pm.

I wouldn’t have paid for 3 day anyway.. Everything ships for free and is 99.9% at your door in 2-3 anyway.. ive ordered alot from AM and have never been waiting more then 3 days hell my rim came in 2.. haha but you have to make that 5pm mark
