Wow Whatever happend to AM's customer service?
I ordered a reverse glow gauge cluster from AM back on 5-2-08. I was told at that time the the gauges I wanted were out of stock, but that they would be sent out to me in 3-4 weeks. Here it is 6-9-08 and I still don't have my gauges. Three days ago I wrote an email to support@american muscle.com asking them what the deal was. I also sent a PM to AMNick (our forum rep from AM) asking the same question. It has been a full three days and I have not received a response from either the AM support team or from AMNick. I'm just wondering what happened to the great customer support that I had come to expect from american muscle?

Probably because you sent the PM to me at 9:55 PM on Friday night. I am not here on the weekends, only Monday through Friday 10 to 6. I check my PMs at least once a business day and usually more whenever I can. While I strive to answer everyone in a timely manor, please allow at least 24 hours on a business for me to answer PMs and threads, and if you contact me after business hours on Friday, don't expect an answer until later in the day on Monday as I wade through the mess that is Monday mornings. (This goes the same for emails, if something is of dire urgency please call us for immediate service!)
I do love how everyone thinks I am some sort of super-human android that is here 24/7/365...it would be ideal...unfortunately I am not...and if I tried I probably would have died from sleep/food/water deprivation and lack of sanity by now. ![]() Now that said, the gauges you speak of are on backorder with the manufacturer and the ETA's that we have are given to us by the manufacturer. We try our best to provide accurate ETA's but in situations like this, the accuracy is dictated by the manufacturer. I am looking into the ETA situation regarding these gauges and will post it up as soon as I have more information.

Our Purchasing Manager got back to me regarding the gauges and it seems that the manufacturer we purchase them from was having some unforeseen "supply and demand" issues with the product resulting in them giving us an inaccurate ETA. My ETA sheet still says 3-4 weeks on it, but our Purchasing Manager believes we should hopefully have them within the next two weeks now that the manufacturer has caught up with their orders. Unfortunately this situation was beyond our control, and we could only relay the ETA information that the manufacturer gave us. I hope this information helps, and if there is anything else I can do for you, just let me know.

Hey Nick thank you for getting back to me. I am currently satisfied with your explanation as far as my problem is concerned. However, as far as when I e-mailed and PMed you...it WAS NOT at 9:55PM on Friday. It was mid afternoon on friday (during regular business hours. I know this for a fact because on friday at 9:55 PM EST I had already been at work for several hours. I don't know if your time stamp data is wrong or if you are just mistaken...but it was definitely during business hours when I sent out that communication. I do understand that you didn't get back to me on the same day, but I figured you'd probably get to it before noon today. I first checked it at 1:00PM. I checked again at 3:45. I still had not heard from you. However, I have heard from you now. Thank you for getting back to me. I will be looking for my gauges in about two weeks thanks.

09:55 PM Eastern on Friday...don't know what to tell ya...my inbox was empty when I left at 6:30pm on Friday...
![]() ![]() Either way, the gauges should hopefully be getting to us within the next two weeks, and your order should ship out right away when we receive them.

That is weird...I don't know why you would have gotten it then. I went to work at 4:30 pm that day and didn't get off until 11:00 PM. Well, I guess it wasn't really your fault then. I'm looking forward to getting the gauges.
