i tried to get autozone to check if they were codes and they said there was no problems so im guessing this could be a problem also with the sniper tuner because it says you have to clear the codes

yes you must clear any DTCs before you tune the car

you can hook the interface up to the car , usb to a laptop , open up the Recon program and clear the DTCs with that , or you can probably get autozone or advance auto to do it with a OBD2 scanner , hell you can even get OBD2 scanners at walmart now for like 50 bucks that will clear codes ...

but see i took it to autozone and advance autoparts and they both used obd2 scanners and both of them said i had no codes but i showed them that dealer program thing in the dash and showed them the codes but they didnt know what to do
i dont have a laptop
