Audio help

Alright I see that all of us are into trying things on our cars ourselves and sometimes we might fuck something up. Well let me tell you with the electronics part some are simple and some are you should just leave to a Pro. It is good to be able to say that you did it yourself but there are just soo much involved in the electronics side. Like if you were to do an alarm some of our vehicles need to be diode isolated and relays and things like that. If you are trying to do something yourself let me know what you are trying to do and I can tell you if it is gonna be easy or if it is something that should be left to a professional. Ive been doing this for 5 years since I left the military to continue school and I got my boss that has been doing it for about 15 years. So let me know cause I have all sorts of resources at my disposal like diagrams and tech notes on exactly what needs to be done. So if you need be just post here or just PM me.
Basically, dont be afraid to ask for help. Just dont go blowing me up LOL

Hi. I have a '99 GT with a Mach 460 system. I'm having trouble finding spec's. About all I've come up with is that the system has 3 amp's, it outputs 230 watts, and it has built in cross-overs. What I want to know is what is the impedance of the speakers. My passenger door woofer went out and I don't want to replace it with an aftermarket (i.e. 4 ohm) speaker without knowing the original load impedance - otherwise I could blow an amp.

Thanks.

hi, i have an 02 gt w/ the Mach 460 audio system. i am installing rockford fostgate subs/amp. everything was going ok till i spliced into the data cable going to the rear deck (i used this link http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/despeeds1.htm). Now, everything electronic works on the car... except for the head unit. i tested the radio fuse, but it was fine. there is simply no power coming to the head unit. what do i do?
