Street Glow Wiring
I bought the Street Glow Optx Package but I am unsure of where to put the unit so I can run the wires from underneath the car to the inside easily. Where is the best place to install this kit with a hole big enough for all the wires? I was considering the center console, and using the hole where the shifter is, what do you think? Best place?

Hmmm...
I have never looked under the care for a wire opening. I say get it jacked up and look under there for the best spot. Go ahead and mount your tube where you want them, and see how far you can get the wires... then look for a area around there. Do some testing first, so you dont mount your tubes then go "Oh shit ! this wire wont reach!". Post pics of your install so others can get an idea also

If they are LEDs you should be able to extend the wires as it will just be 12V DC. If it's neon, I don't think you can as it's a much higher voltage and AC.

Haha, they are LED's to be correct, as yes, alas, I'm using them as courtesy lights.

It's a 2007 GT/CS Manual
Well, I thought about that, because they are not legal in Virginia. But if I use them as courtesy lights they will only come on with the unlocking or door opening, so they won't be on the road, so it's all good. |

That is acually an intresting idea. Use them as courtesy lights so they come on when the door opens. Are they white? That would be best imo. Open the door, and boom the ground right where you step out is lit.

Courtesy light? So they're going to flash quickly when you lock and unlock your door. Is that your back up for when they can't see your rainbow sticker?

i've actually considered doing this with mine, it wouldnt be hard to hook in to the courtesy lights, but i've had issues in teh summer with mine liking to stay on so that wouldnt work so well on public roads..
