advice on aftermarket radio


hey guys i decided i want to put a screen in my console, most devices have nav, dvd, ipod connectivity mayb even blue tooth. Im looking for a good piece thatll fit nicely into the console and is install friendly i dont know too much about splicing but how hard can it be? Any advice on which is a good unit under 800?

pioneer FTMFW. and no it is not hard at all to wire up your radio, just make sure that you buy the right harness for your vehicle. on your car it is fairly easy just like the new edges just a little more stuff to take apart. and if you go with something that needs a VSS (vehicle speed sense) wire hooked up in use of GPS PM me or post here as I can get you all the wire colors and locations of everything that you need.

Do yourself a favor wire the harnesses inside. then plug them into car, and splice all existing wires accordingly then plug it in the headunit, install. Finally post pics and review of the radio.

i def like pioneer but only like the way the nav systems look, they seem complicated to do, im gonna try to research a little more before i pull the trigger

they are not hard to install at all. the hardest thing is finding the vss wire which I have diagrams to. if you need help i can walk you through it.

ive always used alpine stuff and it has always performed well for me. As for under 800 im not to sure how much they are. ive got the iva-w205 and its great

Get the connector that allows you to plug the deck into the stock harness. Its a few bucks but its worth it.
