mustang door lock, HELP cant open door
so i have a 1994 mustang and my driver door has had trouble unlocking the door somethimes when its cold out i press the unlock button and my driver door hesitates or does not unlock so i try putting my key in and unlocking it manually and its hard to turn the key but once it gets warmer out side it unlocks easily but now i tryed opening the door and it wont even budge i tryed from the inside and i see the lock move up a bit but i dont wanna break anythin so i stop HELP ANY IDEAS shuld i take it to a shop ?????

gotta be something like a hinge in the door my old truck used to do that in the winter as well.

Take the door panel off and see if something is loose. Other than that only thing I can think of is new locks?

How about lock de-icer. Sounds like a frozen mechanism

you need to check your lock mechanism/motor. it probably is gone. what might be happening is that your motor is seized and the reason why you cant open your door but you can see the rod move a little is a sign that your locking mechanism/motor is going bad.

I agree with the lock mechanism motor I bought 2 used for 15 bucks and the installation was easy you will need a special tool to unhook the little motor, or you can buy them new for 25 bucks on ebay...
