Headlights working running lights aren't???

Hi I have a pretty odd situation.. My headlights are working but my running lights aren't? My dashlights and night time running lights dont run at all. But, my headlights, brights, turn signals, and brake lights work fine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the sources of the issue might be?? I was reconnecting my foglight button when it all stopped working. I did check for all the fuses and they were fine.

you may have a blown fuse somewhere. start by checking there. if you put in a new fuse and it blows dont bump it up with something higher because if you have a short somewhere it can cause a fire as the fuse will not blow out.

We had a thread very identical to this a while back, but i cant seem to find it. The person had the same problem as you and people responded that there could be a number of issues, including the headlight switch could be broken which is a very common problem with our cars. I know you posted in the right section but you might get more replies if you post in your specefic car section (99-04, 94-95 etc).. hope that kinda helps ya.

yes. Im not sure technically how it works but when i had this problem, my headlights were working just fine, but all the interior lights were gone. thankfully, my problem was only a fuse. good luck.

Problem was solved. The guys at ATI figured out that it was indeed the headlight switch. It wasn't physically damaged I guess just internally fried it. I'll be replacing that for $8.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and help!
