Please Help about fuses

long story short...i i grounded out the cigerette lighter i was hoping someone would have a fuse diagram they could scan and post in this thread or just tell me which one it is PLEASE HELP speedometer dont work without it...thats part of the long story

i realized right after i posted that what you were talking about ok i hope he reads this tommorrow....do u have a fuse diagram you could look at

No, I can get it tomorrow night...I'll have access to AllData tomorrow at the shop.

But look under your dash for the fuse box. Pull the lid off and look on the underside of the lid and see if there's a diagram on there. There should be.

The cig lighter is prolly a 12V source. Dunno if that helps

but I tried.

why dont you just check all the fuses under the dash to see if any are blown? you can either pull them all which would take maybe 5 mins or you could use a test light to them that would take maybe 2 mins hope this helps

I got a small fuse kit from pep boys and it had a tester in it, and I was able to find two blow fuses with it, that's probably an easy way to do it. Another way is if you have a multi meter. Just use that to check if you have current going through the fuses by touching the two metal spots on the top of the fuse. Also you can google a fuse diagram and find one, or if you have an owners manual there is a whole section in it about your fuses and where they are.

did you speedo needle stop moving or the illumination is gone?

Check the 4th chart on the bottom of post 3, it says that it is fuse 1, the first one in the chart... maybe thats it

yeah thats the one for the cig lighter. it is a 20amp yellow fuse.

it just stopped moving...i shorted out a black box from brothers performance warehouse to recalibrate my spedometer to my gearing

... so my needle isnt working and it isnt racking up miles on my car
