i have a prob with my subs...


ok so recently i put a rear seat delete in with 2 10"in sub cutouts..so when i put the subs in and hooked them up i didnt hear any bump..instead i heard kinda a high pitched whining noise when the amp is on full range. when its on low pass its just a really fast thump thump thump thats nothing but bass its really frustrating!! whats goin on guys?!!

well i tried posting this in the electronics section but they said i had to have 100 posts to post there...so anyone know what this could be.....and they are in my back seat now facing the front.. they were in my trunk and working fine but when i moved them to the back they started acting crazy

Do you have a stock head unit? If not, try adjusting the settings on there. My subs dont hit at all unless I turn the subwoofer up on the head unit. And of course, make sure all your wiring is correct. Is it bridged? Are you running a capacitor? Are the wires crossed? Are you running the subs in a series or in parallel?

check your wiring, make sure all the lines are connected. you may have pinched / stripped / or pulled out a wire while installing the rear-seat delete.


*how is that rear-seat delete treating ya?

might be a dumb question, but are they just stuck in a plate on your rear seat delete or in a box? if just on the seat delete it might be because your subs are not free air subs, and rely on the enclosure for sound and tuning.
