Should I get this for 155 Bucks?

Jensen UV7i - DVD player with LCD monitor / AM/FM tuner - Compare prices, reviews, user opinions - Shopper.com

Will this make the speakers sounds better?
And will this headunit fit the Mustang?
Basically is it worth getting?

um, its Jensen. I wouldn't. I know a few guys that have bought the Jensen units with the motorized screens and they have all failed with in a year. It will fit if you get it, but there are a few other things you nee to get it to work with your stock Mach audio system.

Get a dual din touch screen.

You will have to get someone to modify your dash but they look SICK.

Jenson isnt THAT bad of a company they used to make top notch stuff back in the day.. People just give them a bad rap cause there cheaper.. And about the motors goin out for the flip up my $1200 alpine went out in 6 months and my $1000 dollar pioneer went out in a little over a year and both of those companies make some of the best flip outs you can buy.. Its a thing that can happen most people put the back to far against the dash and they will strip gears or the pull on them and stuff like that.. Would i get it NO just cause im not to crazy with how they operate i dont like the menus the equalizers but i will personally only buy pioneer ever again i swear by them but you may be a diff. story you may love the jenson.. Look on onlinecarstereo.com and look around on there there one of the best priced legit places..

Jensen and Dual FTL... invest into something else. my experience with both brands is that expect them to last no longer then a year especially with anything that has a motorized face.

i totally understand, im not saying that nothing fucks up, but from my years of installing many different brands 75% of the failures were from the cheaper brands (IE... Dual, Jensen) due to cheap parts. Im not saying that Pioneer or Alpine are gonna last longer cause of the name. I am simply stating that with my "Experience" that they usually fail especially the motorized ones. If you were to purchase a non motorized one then those would last just as long as the name brands.

Its just like our performance parts.... there might be someone that buys a name brand part and have it fail on him soon after its installed while others havent had the problem. While there are some brands that you just stay away from because they are known to fail or are cheap.

Yea i understand were your coming from.. But jenson used to be one of the top brands back in the day not allot of people know that.. But i think they have changed manufacteres a few times so that could be why there not as top quality as they were.. But the same goes for mb quart.. I spent $1000 bucks on a set of components(stupid i know but i used to compete) they were the best you could buy but about 4years ago they were bought out by a company called maxxsonics and went to crap.. So it could be the same type situation..

I think the guy that origionally mentioned Dual wasnt talking about the brand dual, he meant it as in a doubel DIN unit... Just thought I would throw that out there.

Yes Jensen used to be a decent to damn good company, but that was also in the days when Car Audio was in ts infancy. now they canot compete with companies like Pioneer, Alpine, Eclipse and such.

Just to let you know, that isnt a true Jensen. That model number is Jensen's generic brand Phase Linear, which is the same as the Jensen VM9510. I just bought myself a Jensen flipscreen and my buddy owns a Jensen flipscreen. He hasnt had any problems for the past 3 years either and Ive only read the problems about the motorized screen not moving after too much wear, which if your under a warranty with the company you bought it from your fine then. Make sure to get a 2 year warranty just to be safe
