shaker 500
hey guys. i decided it was time to upgrade the shaker 500 in my 06 mustang.
i really dont know much about car audio at all but i feel as though it needs subs. for those of you who know anything about car audio...i was in pep boys and saw the spx pro audio 1200 watt power bass system. it comes with 2 12 inch subs along with an amp and wires. it was only $200 though. does anyone have any experience with this system? any help will be appreciated! thanks

As stated cheap usually means cheap quality. As far as upgrading your Shaker 500, I'd start with the head unit first. Made a huge difference when I swapped the head unit in my car. Gives you better control of the door subs along with being able to run a high pass filter on the speakers. Then if you feel you still need more bass you can add away, but you'll already have a good head unit.
