'05 CD buttons fading

My friend has an '05 v6 and when she goes to shift, her knuckles/nails rub against the stereo buttons or something like that... the buttons have faded and no longer inform the driver or passenger what service they provide for your listening pleasure... How can she fix this without buying another CD changer or spending 5 minutes with a paint pen writing the numbers and letters out?
