and you paid 375$ for an enclosure? maybe its just cause i can build my own, fiberglassed or not but thats crazy.
My box was custom made to fit my car, The Mach 1's have a stock amp rack that hangs low so I had to have one custom made, and it was built very well, not a cheap boxes made in a factory.

As for buying online, you are sometimes buying referbished amps and subs, new outsides, old internals. read JL's website about online venders

If you buy stuff from some of the big online retailers you shouldn't have any problems. Between me, my brother, and a few friends, we've ordered lots of stuff off crutchfield, onlinecarstereo.com, and sonicelectronix.com and never had any problems with the equipment

Have you ever bought brand new subs online, what happens for about the first month when you play new subs? what does you car smell like? I've bought subs online from a big retailer and when I hooked them up there was no smell of the coils breaking in, I knew they were used, sent the subs back, bought locally, the same subs brand new and my car was full of the smell of the coils breaking in, maybe you just got lucky, im just saying becarful when buying online, thats all, tryin to look out for ya guys

With that budget you could do an okay sub set up from Walmart, I DO NOT recommend you buy anything off line, there are no* autheroized online venders for audio eqpmnt. I think you'll be better off keepin your stock speckers, unless you blew them, if they are distorting, when you install a sub setup you can and turn your bass down on the CD player, that will help alot with the sound qual. and you will be able to turn it up louder with out it sounding like shit, just my 2 cents
everything i buy is online, and i have never had a prob out of it,and some site s have authorized factory and there on warranty
