fuel gauge issues.
ok i had to install all new gauges in my fox everything works great but the fuel gauge. its goes backwards whenever i turn the car on. its grounded to the battery and the positive is feeding into my volt gauge which feeds into the fuse box. could it be a bad wire coming from the fuel sending unit or do i need to redo my positive?

Did your old one work? If it did I'd say maybe a wire went bad from the sending unit. If not ummm dunno sorry bro but free bump

OOOO it could be the gas tank yeah.
I dont know what its called someone will jump in here and help I'm sure of it. There is a slider thing in the gas tank and a float slides up and down it, I forgot what causes it but it can get stuck. So I'm *guessing* that the float could be stuck last time you filled it up.... that happened to my 88GT but I never dropped the tank to fix it LOL. Good luck Bump again for ya!! |
