Subwoofer Amp
Do I have to wire my amp straight to my battery or is there a twelve volt source that I can use. It's a 300 watt amp.

you can get an 8 gauge amp wiring kit from walmart for less then 30$ that should do just fine for 300 watts

Doesn't know how to design subs. I hit over 140dB w/ one 12" sub and 100Wrms. If you can't hear and feel your sub at 300Wrms, then you need to take your audio system to a professional.

in my monte carlo I had 2 12" dub 1's with a diamond audio 1800 RMS watt amp. honestly, I never turned the system above 25% because of fear of blowing the bass in my stock door speakers. another trick you can use is fold down your back seats... lets LOTS more bass into the cabin and the sound waves aren't absorbed by the back seat. |

How did you do that? Start with the gain and volume up?

Borrowed it from a friend to try before I bought, Needless to say I didnt buy. Positive ran from battery with fuse in cable to positive on amp. Ground to a spot in the trunk that was on the body. Remote wire to my head unit. Am I missing something? I'm thinking I have ground issues

I think something has happened to it before. Cover has been taken off before, and some stuff looked pretty beat up. I'm wiring someone elses system today. We'll see how that goes
