Cool

Alpine iXA-W404 or Pioneer AVH-4100DVD

Anyone have any experience with this HU? I've watched some tutorials and it looks great, nice and smooth, pretty cheap, comes with iPod Cable...But I've read some poor reviews about it, and it hasn't been reviewed too many times so I'm a little nervous.

I've also been looking at the Pioneer AVH-4100DVD, but the time I add bluetooth and iPod cable, and installation, its gonna be around 750. And I have a convertible so I'm a bit worried about the "security" of it. I usually close the top, but sometimes I get lazy and leave it down.

The Pioneer I would buy at PC Richards, the Alipne I would buy at Onlinecarstereo.Com - Wholesale Car Audio/Stereo Deals At Bargain Prices

And if I did that, what would I have to buy with it? Anything? Or when I get it installed do they supply dash kit and everything?

ive honestly never heard anything wrong about either one. My only problem with the alpine is what I stated. When I pick out my screens I go for function and look and that alpine has wayyyyyyyyy toooooooooo much going on in front

and with taht alpine, do I lose my CD changer in there now? because its not motorized, and I dont see a CD slot like it mosdt other HU's....not a huge factor, just wondering because it says supports multi disc changer

I believe that they are both motorized faces that slide down to reveal the cd slot. As far as your changer is it stock or aftermarket. If it is stock it wont work, if it is aftermarket as long as it is the same brand with the head unit then it will work

i like both of them, you cant go wrong with either one,but pioneer imo is just a little better, but now when it comes to speakers and subs, alpine will walk over the pioneer's
