you just have to pay cash, I have it on mine, I paid someone to do it, it'll make it where you don't have to press the clutch in to crank the car anymore also.

Well if you have a friend who has access to AllData and tons of schematics it only costs you $120 to install

Mines a 5 speed and remote start. It was an auto originally so i didnt have to bypass the clutch. In most cases starting out with with a 5 speed, you do have to bypass it. all you do is unplug the 2pin harness that determines if the clutch is depressed and scotch lock the two wires together, and you've bypassed it. You also wont have to push the clutch in to start anymore.

thats basically my thoughts on it, I don't even use mine though, it was cool when I first got it, but I never remember when I leave it in 1st gear or not, so I just don't mess with it

Its cool until the unforseen accident happens and your insurance wont cover it because remote start on a stick is such a huge liability. If you are diligent to keep it out of gear when you park though, no big deal.

Huh, I was under the impression that it couldn't be done. Maybe my friend lied to me because he was sick of giving me free car starters. This would be the third one. LOL

well i stand corrected... i tlked to my dad and he started his 67 vette in first gear and had to drive home w/o a clutch lol. and he also said that in his 49 mercury he ran outta gas about 100ft from the gas station and he ran it in first gear with the starter motor and got there.

so my bad that is deff a liability issue if u forget and leave it in gear
