"queer" cd player problems

hey this is my first post, im ryan refered here by j.p. i heard tons of great things about this community already. and im here to scratch an itch for a faster V6 1998 mustang.

Any way when i bought my car it had "prince" in the cd player.. which played fine.. i stuck ozzy in there "perfectly fne cd of the same format" and it came out garbled mess.. then my dad hands me match box 20 to make sure its not the cds fault, it plays a lot better but that cd was scratched quite a bit.

to sum it up.. how do i "straighten" out my "queer" cd player ?

toss it and pick up a used one for about 75 bones

If other cd's are playing fine, the Ozzy one may be just a bad disc. I've had the odd disc not work in a car stereo even though the format is correct.
If you're sure it's not a bad disc, then it means the laser in the cd player is getting tired. I had a Panasonic unit that did this to me, as it aged, it would play fewer and fewer burned discs. If this is the case, it's time to replace the unit.

lmao. Me and him were talking, and he says it does this to the kind of music he likes, but if its music he doesnt like, then it plays better and better the more he doesn't like it. I think your right vabch. lol
