Courtesy Lights Won't Turn Off

I have a 2004 V6 Convertible and the inside courtesy lights won't shut off. The lights are mounted in the rear view mirror. (convertible) Right now I have unplugged the supply wire fed to the rear view mirror. When working properly, they come on for about 10 seconds when you unlock it with the keyless entry button, and of course when you open the door. Electrical problems can be a bitch. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Check your headlight switch and make sure it isn't turned to the point where the interior lights come on.

I checked that first. Tried shutting off the car and turning it back on, etc. I wish it was that easy. But thanks for the reply. I hate to take it to the dealer for $85/hr to diagnose it.
