funny story

k so i had some spare 6x9's laying around, fairly decent actually, their racing technology 4 ways. anyway so i sold a 10 i had that i was pushing 1000 watts to, and i got curious as to how loud it would be if i had the 6X9's running 500 watts a piece. no problem considering their peak power is 700 watts. then i decided that since the subs peak was only spose to be 350 that maybe 1 6x9 could take a 1000, and it did no problem. then outta curiosity i began to slowly adjust the frequency from 6 mhz to 4 mhz to 2 then i got antsy and just went straight to .35 mhz. so whats funny about this? the 6x0 immediately started smokin and almost caught on fire. it may not seem funny, but i was laughin my ass off.
