2002 Mustang Convertible Question

I have the above vehicle, obviously.

Heres my question. I am looking at re-doing the system and maybe i'm losing my mind but someone tell me if this is what i'm looking at.

I have the stock Mach system....not the 1000

Deck - 1 or 2 din....adapter needed.
front speakers - 6x8/5x7 components
rear speakers - 6.5 or 6x8/5x7 if i want to redrill
amp - 4 channel to power all the speakers

doable?

yes. on alot of cars that are convertible that i come across it is hard to run the power wire cause of the convertible but on mustangs it is fairly easy. What year is your car? Pre 01 are single din with the tape player up top and then the cd down below all you would need is a multi-purpose pocket, for 01 and up they are double din and you would need the dash kit for it or you could go with a double din radio and get the double din bracket for it to get that flush look without the pocket below it.

HEy, I have a convertible as well and am looking at putting my stereo in it. I have the Mach system (not the 460) and was wondering what size speakers are in my car. I think the fronts are 6x8 with tweeter on the door?? But not sure whats in the back.

I have a set of boston acustic 5x7's I can use, but would really like to use my 3 way Canton Component set, 6 1/2" subs, with 4" mid/tweet combo and cross over. Is there any room for these speakers in the back. Or should I just use my 5x7's on the back and get a good component with small tweeter for the front? (Ideally i'd love to use the speakers I have)

**this is a convertible car
Thanks!

5x7 Front, 6 1/2 Rear. 4" tweeter should fit in the back, I'm not sure of the perfect size.
