Problem with installing Hella HID kit on 2004 V6

Ordered Hella HID kit from online few days ago and tried installing it.
So i setup everything, put everything into place and connect all the wires, but when i turn it on my lights, it'll turn on as if i was hi-beaming =/
and when i push the Hi-beam stick to put it on hi beam, nothing would happen.
However, when i pull the stick to temporarily "hi-beam", it'll turn into low-beam =/ Has anyone had problems like this before :S ?
Enlighten me with your knowledge plz guys

I thought HID's got rid of the high beam feature. Someone correct me if I am wrong

I wouldn't mind if HID got rid of the high beam feature. The problem is that, it will stay as high beam =X and apparently, 9007 HID are dual :S so high beam should still work or something?

True HID's are low beam running thus staying on the whole time your lights are one with seperate high beams. At least thats the way they are set up from the factory.

If it looks like this then most likely its just a low beam bulb

It would either have a mechanism built into the base to move the single bulb to create a high beam. or there might be a fixed halogen bulb above the hid bulb that would act as the high beam. their also may be two hid bulbs. one for low and one for high like this

if it looks like the first image most likely you only have low beams. nothing should happen when you pull the stick into temporary on but if you move it to high on the other direction the lows will just shut off. most likely you just dont have a kit that has a high beam.

yeah it only has one bulb in it.
So, is there a way to just adjust the angle of the HID like other cars with 2 seperate bulbs? (like civics)
I guess i wouldn't mind losing high beam since HIDs will be bright enough anyways . Just kinda pissed off cuz my friend charged me more because mine was suppose to be "dual" so there were "suppose" to be two bulbs. Didn't really get the concept of two bulbs being in one, until you put up that pick, 97modded .
But yea, so there is a way for me to adjust the angle????
Thanks for all your help by the way guys!
