Stereo Poping Help

So I just installed my Alpine Headunit today with the Sosche Wiring harness and stereo amplifer kit. I have the Mach 460 sound system and everything works fine, but when i turn the stereo on or put the head unit in I get a loud chirp sound and then a pop.

Is there anything I may have done wrong in installation. I used the gray plug in adapter(for power and such) and the 8 pin black connector for the speakers. I ran the speaker wire for the headunit in the input of the FAI-3 Sosche Stereo Amp and then the wires for the harness to the output of the Amp.

The other two 6 pin plugs and the power plug that went into the stock cd player are taped off and not plugged into anything.

Thx for the help,
Adam

You need to put a 5v voltage regulator between the 12v amp on from the head unit and the amp on wires going to the shaker amps. You can pick one up at Radio Shack for a couple bucks. Those shaker amps don't like the 12v!

So let me see it I get this.....

The 12v power supply coming out of the head unit going into the wiring harness I have to put the regulator inbetween there? Or one for each speaker wire?

Thanks for the advice, the regulator worked and no more chirp or pop sounds.

P.S. those regulators are small little shits, kinda hard to wire.
