STARTER help please!!!!

Hey the other day when I got to work my car wouldn't turn back on after I turned it off. I only heard a click and then that was it. I was working on it this evening and my question is, how many wires are connected to the starter from the mustang. I have the red wire attached to the solenoid and the black attached to the starter. There is one other wire that I noticed. I didn't notice this when I was taking it off, but it's a small red wire that looks liks it splits from the grounding wire. I has what looks like a small clip on the end that looks like it slips over something, just not sure where it goes, if it even goes to the starter or not.

Are the wires to your battery on tightly? I've had that happen before.

Yeah I found that wire and reattached it to the starter, found where it went and then the negative battery teminal connector was loose and had to buy a new one because it wasn't tightening all the way.
