Need Headunit Wire Harness Adaptor for 98 Mustang with Premium Sound. Need Help!!!
I have been having big issue.
I am trying to install my pioneer headunit into my mustang. Its a 1998 GT with Tape headunit and sperate CD player. Its not a Mach 460 and has no tweeters. Its classified as "Premium Sound". I got both the scosche harnesses from wall-mart and none of them fit!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have nailed it down that my stereo has an amp and has the same wiring as the 96-00 Mach460. After ALOT of forum searching, I people said to use the Metra 70-5510 adapter. Can anyone confirm that the Metra 70-5510 is the correct adapter and maybe has any tricks to installing this? Metra Part # 70-5510 | Ford wire harness | Metra Online Any help would be great

Yes that looks to be the one. Do some searching on mach turn on pop. You can use a transistor or whatever, or I usually just use a 4700 ohm resistor inline with the blue/white wires
