I no that alot of people have put subs on a MACH system. i was wondering if its worth it and how hard is it to do. i got the directions from mustangworld.com is there a easyer way.

personally i dont see how that would sound good the mach system is set up to run a certain power outage and is not adjustable and most subs require much more to be productive i say go from scratch and build a system

Get an amp and pull the signal off the amp rack, running a sub at ultra low power isnt even worth having

i recently installed a 2x 12 Xplods 2600 watt / 1600 Watt Amp / Capaciter / 1200 Watt RCA cable . for around 3000 with installation . and with "the mach system" ive read alot about it in this forum i hear its garbage . for my shaker system its pretty sweet . im switching my speakers to 3rockford power at 3600 watt .

i have 2 10" fosgates with the stock mach 460 stero system and the subs sound fine, when i asked the guy if i needed a new head unit he said yea but you dont eben need a new head unit.

Hooooooooooly crap did they install them in solid gold boxes??? The subs are about 60 a piece and the sony amp is around another 160 and a decent capacitor runs 100-150 and you dont need more then a farad for the low wattage of the sony stuff and a full wiring kit for that wattage doesnt even break a hundred unless you are buying rockford wire or kicker wire which is the same stuff as regular wiring with an extra name stuck on it ....

I made my box out of mdf and it cost me about ummm 30 bucks and i have materials left over and if you go to a decent shop that doesnt rape you it shouldnt be more then a few hundred for a box whether mdf or fiberglass and you have to watch your box volumes because having 3 subs without the right volume wont make the same impact as 2 subs with the right volume especially if you have them ported etc, my 2 rockford 10s when they were in my GT in the right size box sealed were enough to make you want to vomit and then i put them in a smaller box in my convertible to cram them in and they dont make half as much noise but they also dont have the same size trunk to punch into either but I just need 1 more sub and another amp for my GT and I will be building and installing a custom bandpass box in the GT with the 2 10s running 800watts RMS to each subwoofer 1600 watts max 3200 watts total, and thats true power bot just going by what it says on the amp or the face of the sub or anything and it should be alot louder then my old system used to be
If you can get the enclosures vented as you will get the waves coming off the front and the back of the sub and it will come across as deeper
anything dual voice coil is better then single because it gives you more wiring options and before you actually go to buy any components let me know because i can probably get them cheaper for you then most businesses especially the places that install them and try to jack the price

Yea my buddy does custom stuff for some of the redsox players in their rides and for 3k you get JL stuff not sony but hey as long as your happy with what you paid for

sony sucks and jbl sucks go pioneer deck, either kicker, pheonix gold, or pioneer subs, and pioneer speakers. fosgate is pretty good for an amp and so is kicker. i personally dont like JL audio because i have always run into problems with them. but i dont discourage people against buying them. but i would keep an eye on anything for pioneer because they are always comin out with some kool shit. also stay away from stores like best buy and walmart for stereo stuff. go to a stereo shop and act like you know what your talking about because if your green they will try and rip you off.
