How do I pull out my deck??

I'm trying to pull out my deck so I can hook up my amp into it, but I can't figure out how to pull it out....I've been playing around with a couple flat screw drivers, squeezing them into crevices around it trying to pry it out but it just won't budge.
it's not stock, it's a Pioneer DEH-2700 if that matters...

PLEASE HELP!!

you need pioneer removal keys... either look on ebay or check a local stereo shop. If you take the trim ring off there is slots on either side of the radio between the unit and the cage. this is where you insert the keys. If you are desperate, two thin pieces of metal at least 4" long will work but it might be a pain in the ass.

If you go to the stereo shop, see if they will pop it for you. If they are a cool place they might even do it for free.

or you can use a slotted screwdriver to pop the pins.

I broke my pins a long time ago.

the bolts hold it in just fine.. the pins are there so ppl can't steal your radio

if you try that, make sure you have a super thin shaft on the screwdriver. most screwdrivers get too fat for that to work but possibly a jewelers screwdriver or something similar.

if you get something to get that far, they are designed to push themselves in. you basically just need to get whatever you are using deep enough... I just thought of something that would probably do the trick... butter knives!

You can actually do one side at a time... it will give you a little more room to play with, so you may be able to get the knife in there. Its tricky, but possible. just leave the face on so you have something to grab onto and when you get one side out, just don't let it click back into place. you can also use a hook pick in the cd slot with the face off, just dont pull too hard with that or you will break the plastic really easily.
