New Stereo
I have the mach system in my 2002 mustang, and the bass is not very good. So i bought 2 10" MTX subs and I am trying to find out if i can wire an amp from my stock stereo. I heard about an LOC converter does it work?

The converters do work yes. Another option is for you to purchase a mono amp for the subs that is capable of accepting a high-level input connection. That's a facny way of saying you can use the regular speaker wires from the wire channel of your head unit to power the amplifier, and thus use your fader as a sub control.

Amps
So once i buy a LOC convertor, and I connect the amp to it, the amp should work even with the mach system. Once I buy a new amp, I also should take out the 2 small factory amps that are already mounted on the roof of the trunk, correct?

Yes that is correct. Ideally, you will also eventually purchase an after market head unit that has separate sub level preouts (rca's), and at least one other set of preouts for a nice 4-channel amplifier. If you can afford it, also get as many volts on the preout side as you can, as amplifiers run on volts the way your engine runs on gas/air. The more volts in, the more potential for power there. You just also have to keep in mind that the amplifier should be able to handle whatever voltage you put in to the input side.
