My deck is swallowing my CDs!!
I have a Pioneer DEH-2700. Sometimes when I hit the CD eject button, the CD doesn't totally come out, it just goes out a little bit. I have to remove the faceplate and pull it out myself to get it out of there, the deck doesn't want to push it all the way out. This happens maybe once every 10 times.
on rare occurences though, sometimes it doesn't come out at all, I press eject, and I can hear it trying to push the CD out, but it just doesn't budge one bit. THAT sucks...it seems to happen with only certain CDs though, like ones with a home-made stick-on label, it also happens a lot to my 2Pac CD, but that I don't understand why since I don't see how that one is made differently than any other CD. any ideas?? |

This is why it's not a good idea to stick labels on your cd's. However, chances are the mechanism inside is messed up. How old is the deck, jetz? You could try taking it apart yourself and cleaning up the mechanism...carefully! But my suggestion would probably be to take it to a professional at a car audi place, and have him see if he can fix it. My guy up here usually charges 1/2 an hour to an hour to fix a problem like that. Assuming it can be fixed.

Alcohol & a cotton swab, Mj. Also lightly oil the pivot points.

Dont use WD-40 on it, it will ruin everything, its grease cleaner
or use a can of air and spray it inside
