6 disk acting up

So listen to this...when im listening to a cd and im moving, i cant seek through the songs. It comes up as switch slot. But when im not moving, It will seek through the songs. How the hell do i fix this?

lol that not too bad...for some reason this happened both in my 6er and now in my GT......Sometimes i try and get my cd out of the stock cd player and it doesent come out......it did the same exact thing in my 6er....like its just every once in a while...... it just makes a noise like its going to come out but then it doesent.....then eventually it will work...

Same here. Luckily it was still under warranty (~300 miles from not) so I had Ford fix it. It's been working fine for the last 3 years. I did notice after I got it back from Ford the eject and cd changing mech was louder.

yah they change the rollers in ti as well as put in a different mechanism to eject and change the cd's it was belt drivin but due to high failure rate the replacement parts were all mechanical and gear drivin thats why its louder mine is too. it was fucked when i bought the car it ate all my cd's i took it back and demanded they fix it cuz it was advertised with a working 6 disk

my pick'em truck did the same thing after the wreck, mines just tells me no cd or inititalizing.

and i got 5 discs in there too!! :'(

unhook ur battery let it sit then hook it up and turn the key to acc. then turn on the changer and hit the eject and pound on the face of the cd unit it will spit them out.

happened in my 6 too. if i left a cd in there for i while it took just as long to get it out. i had to give it the ol 1 2 punch. but now i have pioneer deck. problem solved

Happened with both my GT and Mach. Also happened about 6 years ago in a rental V6. These Mach 460 head units suck. I replaced my head unit almost two years ago... but thanks to proprietary BS, I still need to get aftermarket EVERYTHING ELSE because the amps/speakers aren't wired like car audio systems are done throughout the rest of the universe.

the amp works of a/c the after market unit uses d/c it can be done if you want to convert a/c to d/c. there are harnisses and shit u can buy that do work.

well i tried it last night. . . . yeah still got 5 cd's in there.

i unhooked it, let it set for a while then hooked it back up and etc etc, i even resorted to a rubber mallet wrapped in a towel, still nothing. :'(

that sux dude. whats it saying exactly it trys to eject and the cd jams and then it says error or it just does jack shit?
