thinking about it....

Well im thinking about getting a sound system. Probably two JL w3 subs and then the amp and speakers ect....

The only thing im worried about is the weight and slowing down my car. Anybody have experience cause im building my car for both visual and performance.

Also i need some ideas i d0ont know exactly were to put the subs but probably a custom box somewere with some neons and stuff to make it look flashy

Its definitely gonna add weight.Theres no way around that. And depending how funky your tryin to get,the trunk is your only option.

Also depends on what type of music preference and woofer makers spec's you have as to what kind of enclosure to use.

Trunk / Rear Seat

Unless your going to get the w3s off the internet for cheap get somebody better off the web/eBay.

eBay is your friend.

But just remember for what you pay for JL you can find something x2 better at the same price or less.

A single w3 10" woofer retails for 279.99$

Digital Designs, RE, Image Dynamics just to name a few makes subs that will blow one out of the water for that price.

Well ,JL has been around for a long time and has a great reputation amongst audiophiles. I myself have had JL's.

I will always spend a little extra money for a quality product. It aint always about price when you want performance.

Hmm....

However for the PRICE you pay for w3's you can get more SQ/SPL out of other subs for the same PRICE. Unless you just want JL to say you have it.

Well to be dead honest with you you sound like one of those JL fan boys who don't like anything else. But for the same 700$ you pay for a w7 you can get a nice xxx or something from digital designs and blow it away...

xxx 12"

Noting personal, its just what you seem like I don't like kicker but the cvx will outperform a w3

You didnt have to go with the fanboy garbage. Its not like I said nothing else compares. Ive been in the audio game for a while.Ive had Kickers,JL,Orion.MTX etc etc.

Forget it though.
