Which Subs do I get and produce the best quality?

Here are the choices I have at hand:

Eclipse (SW8000) 10'' Aluminum Cone Subwoofer

KenwoodŽ (KFC-XW12R) 12" Dual Voice Coil Super Subwoofer

aside from the size differntial. I wanted JL W7's but I dont wanna pay 400+ per 10" speaker.

How much ampage do I need to look for to run these? Im not looking to over do it. I just want it thumping well enough for me to go def with and not the entire neighborhood.

For SQ yes
For Loud Bass: the 8000 aren't bad.

If you want SQ find some ID max subwoofers (which may cost you more than 400$ a 10 )

For cheap sound quality the infinity kappa perfect sub would work. If you can find them the Phoenix Gold Xenon will work also.

Congratulations, you just bought hype
Some good 1,000 watt amps would be nice.

And the w7s get really b****y about the box specs, so your gonna probably have to build one and go through the back seat if this is going in the stang.

Says you need 1.25cu/ft before driver displacement....

Get to building.

And with 10s get a 1000/1 If you wanna stay with JL

Best SQ for under $400= 12'' MB Quart Discus (about $100), hands down best in sq for under $400!!!

Best spl under $400= Alpine type X around $300 on ebay.

Best SQ for high price= 12'' IDMAX around $400-$500

Best SPL HANDS DOWN= 15'' MTX 9500 for around $450 on ebay.

I had a single 15'' MTX 9500 powered by 2 MTX 1501D's 2800 RMS in my dodge dakota and hit 155DB in a unregistered sound off competition. I beat an suv with 2 13.5 W7's barely. He hit 153.9 DB.

Hands down, the best in SPL in the 9500. I even hit 132 DB from 12feet outside the car, and just to let u know... a jet at takeoff is about 125DB give or take.
