Switches


on my 2002 mustang there is 3 buttons in front of the shifter one for traction one for rear window defroster and one that you cant push in but when you take the panel out behnd the button that doesnt push in is a plug that has wires that runs to something but what? does anyone know? if need be I can get some pictures

I'm pretty sure its for the convertible top. Since you don't have a convertible top, you're stuck with an ugly button.

no the convertable top is where back towards the arm rest(if i had one)

Maybe its a lonely wire running to the fuse box.

K sounds good. I think that some of them come with different options, and Ford probably makes them ready for them. Either that or maybe its the Headlight Fluid opener

Seriously though, the headlight fluid is added under the hood.


A-HA! I have it.
Foglamps!

Not too sure, but that might be it. I was confused because mine has traction control in front of shifter, foglamps in front of armrest, and defroster next to light switch(It's a 2000 GT). My convertible top placeholder is actually a little 'coin holder.'

My guess is it's a placeholder for foglamp switch.

That for the all wheel drive

jake brake

locks the front brakes up for a burnout

Turn the seatbelt light off

turns on the trailer brakes on

What are you talking about?

Just looked up some pictures on google, and it's where the foglamp switch goes if it happens to be a GT.
