radio removel help


how do you get the radio out i cant figure out how to take off the plastic covers so i can pull it out and i dont want to break any thing by pulling on it.

ok one more question where should i run my remote wire from to the amp cause im using my stock 6 disk cd player that came with the car and im putting in 2 12s but i dont know where the best place to get the remote power from.

ok i got my radio out but now i need to know what color wires are my front left and right positives and negatives, also where is the best place for me to run my remote wire from while using the stock radio to put in an amp and 2 12's

My car didnt need the tool for the radio then again it was the 6disc changer...was the cd/cassette but most fords do ive seen....


i didnt realize u were using ur stock radio again...ur better off getting a different radio...but if u car came with the Mach system...u will need to do a full re-wire when doing a new radio, amp, sub

im pretty sure i have the mach system all my speaker say mach on them the 2 in the front and the 2 in the back but i guess i did get lucky mines a 2001 what year was yours

ya then that sounds like the mach set-up. mine is an 04 for maybe they put different screws in but i know i need that radio removal key to get mine out.

run it to a switch, then to power the switch run a wire to something that turns on when the car comes on...

EDIT: you really should just get a different deck too

the remote turn on wire for the amp will need to be attached to the blue wire (possibly blue with white stripe) that comes out of the back of your deck. It will be in a bundle of small wires. Follow where the wire goes to - on mine it was 2 feet long and had the attachment on the end of it for me to put my remote amp wire on it.

If the wire isn't blue i don't know what color it would be, but you shouldn't need a new deck.
