1997 Mach 460 Amps Compatibility
I have a 97 Cobra with the Mach 460 sound system. A few days ago, the system started sounding terrible, only high sounds, no bass. I purchased and installed a new Sony Xplod. I think the wiring is connected right, I did find the wiring kit for the Premium system. The problem is that the sound still sounds equally bad as with the original head unit.
My question is, when replacing the original amps, what model years are compatible with the 1997 Mach 460??? My front amp has the following number stamped on the metal case: F47F-18A965-AA. But has a label with the number: F7ZF-18T806-AC. I am specifically asking because I see that in eBay there is a 2000 front amp for sale. Can I use that one? And while we are at it, if I get no bass, does it mean that the two amps in the rear are bad??? Thanks. Carlos |
