Digital Car Compass

Hi all,

I'm trying to get my finance an anniversary/Christmas present - a very good digital car compass - and I would really appreciate your help.

He really loves his car and has been meaning to get a compass that works well inside the car for months now. I'm willing to spend up to ~$250 on it.

I did a bit of research and it seems Gentex makes something pretty cool - a rear view mirror with the compass integrated.

I'd love some knowledgeable feedback on that option, alternatives, any advice on how difficult it is to install these yourself, and if it's best to buy something that works on replaceable batteries vs. a gadget that uses the car battery for power.

Thanks a lot for any help you might be able to offer!

http://www.truckspecialties.com/compassmirror.htm

youll find a lot of mirrors on there with digital compasses and outside temp misewell hit two birds with one stone

welcome to the forum by the way!!!

as for the install take the old one off and put the new one on.. youll have to use a hair dryer on high heat to get the adhesive off of the original then put the new one on in the same place. very easy

Yep, that's exactly what I was considering, except I wasn't allowed to include a link in my first post.

Many thanks for the quick reply
